天母的久楼
注视朦朦的天空
芝麻香滋养
Old building of the Mother Goddess
Gaze at the hazy skies
The sesame is fragrant (and) nourishing
I am in Taiwan again. It seems to have become a yearly thing. Last time I was here was the past November. But it was only brief since I had only dropped by on a layover to and from my flight to Thailand. In any ways, it is always nice to be back in Taiwan.
I stayed a bit longer this time, and I accompanied my dad. Since it’s been a while since I went on vacation with him, we went to visit other parts of the country. We visited Tainan and Kaohsiung for a few days. It was a fun trip, but it surely isn’t the last.
I have been lucky enough to avoid Taiwan’s summer weather, but that is not to say that it has been comfortable the entire trip. One thing has been rather consistent; the sun has been relentless. So much so, I try to stay indoors whenever I can.
Summer came early this time around. The past month and a half have been full of new experiences and travel. There’s surely more new experiences to come. A bit of a life update… I’m moving to Asia for the next year or so. Already, I’m excited; through travel, I’ve learned more about the world than I ever could otherwise.
